Surf ‘N Turf Burger

Any cuisine that combines both meat and seafood is a winner in my book. Surf ‘N Turf refers to the tasty combo of beef and shellfish. It first began to appear in print in this sense in America during the 1960’s on restaurant menus. It has grown in popularity since, popping up all over the world. These surf ‘N turf burgers pack tons of flavour and goodness in every bite. Take a look below for the ingredients, nutritional info and method.

The method for this meal, is actually fairly lose. The only things you need to cook is the meat and the sweet potato fries. Both of which can be made entirely different depending on personal preferences. Sweet potato fries can be made by using a product such as the Tefal ActiFry or baked in the oven to create sweet potato wedges. The burger could be oven baked or grilled. My preference be would be grilled to medium.

For a lower carb option, why not take away the bun for a “carbless” burger and/or swap the sweet potato for a green salad. And for a perfect summers evening meal why not recreate this meal on the BBQ?
